hi i just flashed i and updated to the lastest twrp which went well then i flashed the boot.img for aicp kk and did a backup of my rom as i was going to update to kitkat but the backup failed i then went to hboot to reflash the boot.img to my original rom so i could boot my phone up to free some space on my sd card to try again but suddenly my pc started installing the drivers after which my pc rebooted after it settled i went back to my phone and hboot woulnt responed so i hard rebooted my phone and now it just keeps rebooting i try to go to hboot and it just carries on i dont know what to do if anyone can help i would really apprecite it thank you

[Q] Help needed in advance restore of nandroid backup topic

Hey people im a newbie here and i want to learn stuff about android.
Recently i checked out the cm 11(4.4.2) roms for my XM... they were good but most of the releases are in the beta stages... I reverted to my stock rom(4.1.2) after a try...

I had a backup of my earlier stock rom(4.1.2) which i restored through cwm successfully.. all went great.. But then the liquid smooth rom came in and i wanted to try it... it was great... i made a clean flash of the liquid smooth rom from my stock... i had a backup of my cm11(4.4.2) rom from before.. i made an advance restore of the data from it(4.4.2 to 4.4.2) and everything went well...

Now my question is if in case i do an advance restore of data from my stock rom backup(4.1.2) to the liquid smooth rom(4.4.2)... will i get any issues??

Help needed with flashing and returning to stock rom topic

I bought a htc one about a week ago ( which was a three branded phone) which I used my ee sim in it. I started noticing weird signal issues ( like full signal, but when trying to make a call it would sound like I only have one bar signal) so I decided to look into how to debrand the phone and change it to ee. I decide to go with the European (htc Europe ) version which was unbranded,

So I unlocked my hboot and s-off with firewater and changed CID to HTC__001
Ayer I done that I rebooted my phone and to my surprise went into some sort of boot loop. The white screen would pop up and then it will go black for about 30sec and reboot again And again.
Could someone pls inform me what I have done wrong and what I need to do

Just rooted my gt9500 and flashed custom kernel but now i want to revert to stock kernel
Before flashing i made full backup using online nandroid backup under CWM MODE the following files has made

recovery.log
Nandroid.md5
Sd-ext.ext4.tar
Efs.ext4.tar
Cache.ext4.tar
Data.ext4.tar
Recovery.img
Boot.img

I want to know which of these file is stock kernel backup file :confused:

Dear All,
I have MMX A110. I was using BSNL 3G on it from last 6 months but last suddenly it stopped working. I have come to know that if I put any 3G enabled card on slot 1 and activate 3g on phone then I can't make/receive calls, balance check and can't use internet too.
But if I put 2g card and do off 3g on phone then it works fine.
I took phone to service centre they re installed JB4.1.1 but no result.
So anybody here can help me?
Because previously I had A100 and XDA made a lot help to me.

Hi,

i had CM 11 for a while but recently the bugs get worse then less. In the moment i cant make any call for example.
I tried Sammys 4.3, but the experience was very bad too. Pretty buggy, some apps wont work...and slow like hell.

So im thinking of going back to the latest 4.1.2 sammy rom.

I lost a bit the overview about efs and all this stuff.

Is there any problem to expect doing this? What was the latest or best version of 4.1.2?

Hi guys. I was hoping that maybe some of you genius's maybe be able to help me out? I will try and explain my problem as clearly as possible.

I have an I9305 and an from the UK. I have rooted my phone before and used many custom roms. But quite recently I decide to unroot my phone and go back to a normal stock rom. Last week I got the urge
to root again and install some custom roms. I quickly discovered that since I had OTA my phone that the latest OS has problems (knox) with rooting. I did manage to root my phone. However, the problem started when I tried to install
twrp through Goomanager. I tried to reboot into recovery mode and my phone was stuck on the Galaxy S III splash start screen, and I could not get into recovery mode either. I could still get into download mode. Eventually I did manage
to restore my phone using odin, and install a stock rom for Ireland. After this I tried to install a stock from for the UK, and now my phone is now back to being stuck on the splash screen, and I can not enter recover mode on my phone
using the up/home/power combo, but I can still acces download mode and conect to odin. I have been searching on line for several days for some solutions and fixes, but I seem to be getting no where. So please, if you can help my out and hopefully get my phone back to life I would
be extremely grateful.
