Offline device topic

I am working for a advertising company and tagged to lot of content providers and broadcast to mobile app using own tablets mostly used in hotels...

We have a customer at other country also want a same but required some kind of device like ( Mac mini) which can pull data from our main server and storage the data locally.

Next this device will broadcast the data to the users own handset by using our android app.

The device will work as a Hotspot and when user mobile connect to it, they were able to view the contents..

Question here.... can a andriod app receive data from our main server and store locally and then allow to broadcast the data to users own mobile phone through our android app

I might not be clear on my working.. Do ask me question to clarify...

Play Music save to external storage - can't play offline? topic

So I was excited like many others a few months back when Google Play Music was updated to support external (SD) storage. However I don't know if it is actually being used? I'm hoping someone can tell me more or if they see the same behavior.

If you look at app data for play music, it APPEARS to be saving music - I currently show over 700MB of data for the app. However if I open the app and select "On Device" instead of "All Music", I there is never anything listed (In Listen Now, My Library, etc).

So it appears to me that songs are cached but never used for anything, meaning I'm re-streaming every time I listen to something. It definitely appears that way when I re-listen to playlists.

Anyone else notice this?

[Q] Wireless offline hotspot topic

I really hope someone has made an app for this or know a way to work around the problem. I can't be the only guy in the world needed this feature.

Tonight I'm going abroad (Norway) on a skiing vacation. My cousin and me will be playing Civilization in network. However, I am in need of an offline hotspot. To those of you thinking that sounds strange, let me explain the problem:

I know how to use a Wi-Fi hotspot, which I've used before for gaming (even Civilization which is a data hefty game, I think). Being abroad I can't afford being online, but being online is needed for using a Wi-Fi hotspot. What I want is to connect two computers in a network, but without being forced to go online.

Can this be done in any way - app download or though the Android OS. My smartphone (Galaxy S3 4G) isn't routed, and I don't plan to at this point.

Any help is VERY appriciated! :good:Thanks in advance.
