[Q] i337m cant play media topic

As the title suggest I cannot play media on my phone (music or videos) I can however play videos through MX player but that is it. No snapchat, YouTube, twitch, music. I am running i337m on bell with CyanogenMod 11 20140322 nightly any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi, I'm new to here and trying to unlock my I337m with virgin mobile, for free, preferably. I have been all over the site and cannot seem to get anything to work. I did just update to 4.4.2 kitkat. I have baseband version I337MVLUFNC1 if that helps at all. Thanks.

Hello good people of XDA I just cant seem to make a ROM
using @dsixda 's Android Kitchen for my I337M!

I had the kitchen working for my S3,
Tried with S4 and it wouldn't boot up.

Restored my entire computer, fresh
installed the kitchen / cygwin.

Tried again, same results.. No booty.
Used another 'updater-script'.. No booty.

I have searched and searched, tried everything
I can, but nothing works, none of my ROMs boot.
Was hoping someone here might have an idea of
what I am doing wrong?

Need help with rooting Rogers Galaxy S4 I337M topic

So first off, I am have a lot of questions that I might as well ask.

First, will rooting my Rogers Samsung Galaxy S4 I337m mess anything up with the carrier? Like, will i still be able to call and text, etc?

Secondly, can my carrier track that I have a rooted phone?

And this is the most important question, how do I actually root this phone? Most of the methods I have tried don't work because the security app "KNOX" keeps denying access for the root to happen. I have tried many ways to remove KNOX from the phone, but none of them work....So how do I actually root this phone without having KNOX shut me down?

I am trying to update my samsung s4 with fido. I ordered a code online and unlocked it. Never flashed , never customized, bought Directly from FIDO store so there is no chance anybody else have altered it in anyways.

RIght now whenver we try to update it , it says it has been modified and cannot update.

Searched it few steps online, tried all steps , unmounted sd card , restarted without sd card but still giving me same message.
Already tried on kies but nothing happened when connected to kies either .


In download mode its giving me following message above,

[Q] Galaxy S4 i337m - NO AUDIO WHATSOEVER topic

Total Noob here. I have a GS4 (Canadian Rogers Model i337m). When flashing CM 10.2 I wiped dalvik cache, system, data, internal storage, and cache (to get all the samsung stuff off my device) and formatted data. After flashing, everything worked perfectly EXCEPT there is no audio from anywhere. No systems sounds, no notification sounds, no music (headphones don't even work), absolutely nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've been racking my brain all day trying to figure something out. Thanks.

[Q] Bricked i337M With Rogers HELP :s topic

Hey everyone,

So from what I can tell my phone is officially bricked.

Been reading XDA for a long time and I am having my first big (hopefully not serious) issue.

Heres what happened:

I was looking to switch my phone from Rogers to Wind - which required unlocking. I saw numerous people were having sucess using the *#0011# and other codes but it didn't work. Thinking I could save a few bucks I thought I would try some other methods. I saw people having success with the Chainfire AreaAway Lock program..

- I used the moto chopper Rooter - which didn't root it

- Ran another one (pretty much same looking program) - phone sucessfully rooted (also did something to KNOX - shows on boot up)

- Ran Chainfire Areaaway lock - unlocked region code (didnt unlock sim tho)

- ran ODIN and flashed I337MVLUAMDJ_I337MOYAAMDJ_I337MVLUAMDJ_HOME.tar.md 5

- At this point the phone wouldn't start up at all - it would boot to the S4 screen and stays at "Samsung"

- No chance to factoriy reset - cannot get into recovery mode

- Will enter download mode

- Ran ODIN and flashed I337MUMUAMI1_I337MUWAAMI1_I337MUMUAMI1_HOME.tar.md 5

- This was apparently 4.2.2 as well but the Dominican Republic version which I had read also worked for some people (IDK why)

- Since I flashed it the first time it says the kernal is incorrect upon start up as well.

- What can I do from here?



I have been trying to get the stock 4.3 ROM For Rogers to download but haven't been able to download it yet, I found it on

but Rapidgator was the only one which worked for me - it has a 14 hour download time. The other also keep disconnecting.


I contacted Samsung and they are willing to send me a shipping label so I can send it in - However I have already taken it to a few different shops and they think I have voided my warranty...

What sort of charge do you guys think Samsung would charge me? :o

Any ideas - thoughts?
