M8 Verizon not able to be unlocked through HTC Dev topic

Looks like you can't unlock the bootloader through HTC Dev on the VZW M8 :( Just got mine and tried and get the dreaded Error 160 MID Not Allowed.

Dock not charging, tablet does (also through dock) topic

This has been going on for a while and hasnt bothered me too much, until now! ;)

The thing is my dock hasn't been charging for quite a while, battery is stuck at 0%. The light is blinking orange when the tablet is docked in and/or the charger is connected. The tablet itself charges just fine, also through the dock.

I have already opened the dock, nothing strange. Battery appears fine (not swolen or anything) and nothing weird with the connection. I have been flipping the SW1001 swithc like crazy as well (even though by now I don;t remember the default anymore, open or closed... or what open or closed actually is. Even though on the backside of the PCB there is some 'open' print).

I have tried charging the dock (both seperately as with tablet docked in) with switch in both connections (for quite a few hours) but without luck. The led is blinking the same way, no matter how I put the switch.

Also tried flashing stock firmware again, no luck.

* Is there a way to test the dock battery? (Apart from switching the dock and tablet battery for example).

* Does anyone know what the default posittion of the SW1001 swithc is? (This is the switch on the right side of the left pcb inside the keyboard dock).

* Any other tricks getting the dock battery to charge again?

I have been thinking of ordering a new battery (or possibly entire dock, might be able to get one second handed) but would really like to have tried everything else first :)

[Q] Running multiple 'adb shell' commands through 'CreateProcess' on Windows PC topic

Hi All,

This query is about running 'multiple adb commands' on 'single adb shell' opened using CreateProcess.

Currently we are able to run single command on adb shell which is created using CreateProcess API. This works fine.

But our requirement is, opening up of single adb shell and executes set of adb commands on that same shell. (ie., reusing of already opened adb shell for executing further adb commands on it)

Kindly let me know if anyone has an idea on this.

Anyone else run into the problem of getting feedback when connected to an external speaker of any kind and charging?

Avia Chromecast and Dropbox - Does the data go through my phone? topic

Howdy...

I'm hoping this is an easy question.... I have Avia on my phone, and can happily stream to my Chromecast. Obviously this involves data going from my phone through my network to the chromecast....

My question is this: If I use dropbox on Avia (rather than local video on my phone), does the data first go from Dropbox to my phone, and then from my phone to the chromecast? Or does the data go straight from Dropbox to the Chromecast?

[Q] not able to send file through wifi direct topic

I'm facing one problem with my new SAMSUNG GALAXY S3...... I got it as a gift from my dad and don't have bill so I am asking u for the help :silly:
The problem is the, I can able to receive files from another phone to my phone but not able to send my file to another through wifi direct....
When I select the device and pair it and when I click and tick the device (to whom I want to share) press done then nothing happens just the tick disappears.....:eek:

My Phone is not rooted....
I'm using the official rom...

Hello ,

Just a few minutes ago I finished setting up the amazing ROM , KK BEAM KAT v.8.1 (21 January 2014) of Adi Aisiteru Reborn .
I also installed the ViPER4Android FX along with the Walkman app here , from XDA ... The only trouble is , whenever I plus any headphones , the music keeps coming from the phone's speaker , instead of the headphones themselves which is damn annoying since I use my device to listen to music , among other things .

If any extra info is needed - I deleted the default music player and DSP Manager .

If anyone has any idea what is causing this ... I'd be forever grateful for a solution .

Hey Folks, This is my first post here on xda. I have a Verizon Droid Charge and since I have finally gotten a new phone I have been tinkering around on this guy. Having a lot of fun and reading a ton. I have loaded a custom recovery (cwm) and a custom ROM (tweaked lite 1.0). Still can't figure out if I have unlocked the bootloader (not even sure what that is, to be honest).

So here is my question, I let my phone battery go completely to zero. That seems to have tripped something, because since this happened I have not been able to get wifi. When I attempt to turn on wifi I get 'Unable to scan networks'. I read a few other posts (not for the DC) and there was talk of deleting the data/local and data/misc directories. Here is an example thread which happens to be in the Rezound forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1519237. I have attempted to do the same thing on my DC through Terminal Emulator in SU mode. The /local and /misc directories are not within /data they are on the same level. I deleted them anyways with no luck. I also read in another post to delete the file in data/wifi/ which I tried. All of this was of course interspersed with wipe/factory resets and reboots. The phone is not active so I have no mobile data, thus my options for loading helpful apps are pretty limited.

This morning I've found this "RumRunner" that does the S-OFF to HTC devices. I thought that my HOX was compatible, but as I'm writing here, I haven't done it yet. Before I start, I need some information about what I'm about to do:

- What does a S-OFF device that S-ON one doesn't?
- Is RumRunner actually compatible with my HOX? (Some infos about it are on my sigature)

[Q] Lotus Notes through Exchange on Android topic

I've got a Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.

My work is running Lotus Notes for email. The desktop software is bad enough, but the Lotus Traveler app on android is pure garbage.

Apparently the traveler server works with standard ActiveSync. I know this because people at my office have their email set up on their iPhones/iPads through ActiveSync. I can actually add my Lotus account onto my phone through the default email app using the Exchange setup. Everything seemed to work as it should at first. The app asked me to set a pin for my phone, which I did. The problem is that after a couple minutes I get a prompt saying my device pin has expired and all my Lotus account data will be deleted unless I reset my pin. This happens every few minutes even if I keep resetting my pin.

Anyone know of anyway around this? At the moment I'm forwarding all my work emails to my gmail account so that I can read them on my phone, but I can only reply from my gmail address, so it isn't ideal.

Hi!

I cannot say for sure but maybe it started after I installed the Cybershot camera or the Xperia module (xposed) to fix the FCing with the camera, but now on every restart my phone does the whole Android is updating.
Any ideas what could be going on?
