[Q] Don't know what went wrong trying to flash a new ROM... topic

This is definitely a first for me...

I was trying to flash the latest version of Malladus from stock OTA. I have a Verizon G2, and here's what I did and what went wrong.

Rooted the device - root checker confirmed successful.
Downloaded Freegee, activated latest CWM.
Went in to the actual CWM app, attempted to flash new ROM. I did select the wipe data option.
Selected Malladus. Installation failed.


Tried to recover and revert to backup...instead I ended up in some sort of pseudo OS that is definitely not Malladus (not the full version anyways), but isn't stock OTA either. Certain things don't work (like the home button, and I can't connect to my PC via USB). Most of the LG icons, appearances, app tray, etc look like stock LG...but when it boots up, it gives me a Google splash screen instead of Verizon.

I'm still relatively new at this. I have successfully been able to flash both CM11 and AOKP on to this phone with no issue...but I either missed a step or am not accounting for something here. Now I'm worried that I won't even be able to revert back to stock OTA because I don't have USB connection capability. I've tried fiddling with the CWM menu options, but nothing really helps...

Can flash recovery, can't flash rom. topic

Hi guys,

I'm a little stuck. I have a HTC One HBOOT 1.44 with TWRP 2.7.0.0 installed. I can flash recoveries (CWM or TWRP) but I cannot for the life of me sideload a ROM. I just did a factory reset so I can't exactly turn it back on. Any ideas?

So I was having some issues with feedback during calls with almost all custom ROMS. I reverted back to the gingerbread stock rom via odin to see if it was just a ROM problem and I found the source of the initial problem. But now when I boot into the recovery, it won't flash any new ROM I want to go back to. I do the normal flash/wipe + the cache for good measure, and apply the zip and It'll say "Short write of /tmp/sideload/package.zip (no space left on the device)." But I have 4gb free on my phone so i'm definitely not out of space. I've tried the AOKP JB rom, shoshock, and the newest cyanogen mod. No luck on any of them.

What am I doing wrong?

Xposed on Carbon ROM. topic

Hey everyone, just a quick question. I was wondering if the Xposed framework will work on the latest Carbon nightly. I read that Xposed used to be baked into the ROM itself, but they removed it due to stability issues. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

[Q] ERROR flashing pac rom. HELP please !! topic

Hello folks.
Im quite desperate trying to flash my i9300 phone with a pac rom:

The thing is when i start the flash process using TWRP 2.6.3.0
I get an error:

Failing to Flash ROM. (Status errors) topic

So here I am again, after a while.
Have changed like hundred of ROMs about year ago on Galaxy S III and Galaxy S II, it was still time when newest android version was 4.1.2 i think.

So now i have a problem, big one. I bought Galaxy S II again, and wanted to flash new rom, because version that i had was 4.1.2.
It was horrible, i effd up my phone big time and flashed stock rom trough Odin, now its 4.0.3. It's old like my granny, but it's very fast. I'm spending like only 38% of my RAM.

But still i wanted to change ROM, and put on the new 4.4.2, but only that kind which don't takes more than 50% of ram.

using as stock rom - I9100XXLPQ_I9100OXALPQ_I9100XXLPQ_HOME.tar.md5 (file name)
and as root - CF-Root-SGS2_XX_XEO_LPQ-v5.3-CWM5 (file name)

I Have tried to flash any of the ROMs trough CMW recovery with the kernel i have now, but still i got Failed to install update. Some kind of e:emmc (Status 7 error), i tried to fix it, fixed. But now I had Status 6 error. It seems that i can't open the update (ROM).

So i'm asking for help. Maybe some1, could give me the right ROM, right KERNEL and RECOVERY. and step-by-step guide to avoid those errors and fails.

I'm sorry if i'm posting new thread, but i can't really find and answer to my question and problem. I would be greatful if someone could just help me and guide trough this problem, if not here, then maybe in PM.
