[Help] "unfortunately clock has stopped" w/ 8TB size????? topic

Hi! People of XDA, I have an rooted Ainol Novo7 venus tablet, im using it for 11 months then this suddenly happened... "Unfortunately Clock has stopped"... The time also reverted to 1/8/10 (the stock factory setting), I tried clearing cache, data & reboot and nothing seem to work, it still says "unfortunately clock has stopped". Also, on the apps section on settings the clock app's size is 8TB! Which is really imposible because my tablet only has 5gb of internal space available & an 1gb of ROM, what should i do to this tablet? Should i burn it? Or throw it?!? 😡😡😡.

Include Navbar size topic

Please include navbar size settings(dpi) in Display Options menu (this tweak used in Purity, Carbon, Mahdi and more stock based custom roms). It's actually for Nexus 4, standart-sized soft keys take big size from workspace, display 4.7''. I'm not like use Immersive Mode constantly, only in gaming.

(Q) root folder size topic

I am on MJ7, rooted with Safestrap. I softbricked my phone and did the no-wipe method of restoring my phone. My root folder size used to be a total of 1.5 GB. I noticed that after restoring my phone it was .97 GB. I thought something had gone wrong so I backed up in internal memory onto my pc and did a full-wipe restore. I still have .97 GB total for my root folder. What am I doing wrong? How can I get it back to 1.5 GB?

[Q] Screen size issue! topic

After my LG G2 came back from repair, due to faulty sound, I noticed that my screen did not fill out the whole area. Like if you set a screen resolution to 640x480 on a 1920x1080 screen on a PC.

Also in the store, they said they updated my phone, but after I did a factory reset, there is no updates?

I have rooted it, in hope to get more functions, but with no luck. I can´t find anything close to my problem anywere. Anybody know what and how I can change the resolution on the screen? I tried an app, but that did not work at all and the dpi was f..... up. Had to reset one more time...

I know it used to fiil the whole screen before.

I updated to kitkat and tried to backup with titanium and it says not enough space. How can I get more space? What should I delete?

Size problem from TWRP backup on my Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 topic

Hi,

There are several weeks, I did a Nandroid backup of my tablet through my recovery TWRP 2.6.3.0. I installed a custom rom based on the version of KitKat to several tests and take advantage of new features. My backup was 5GB and restoration was a success even though he missed two games but I recovered data from them.

This week I am still trying to install a custom rom that has been updated (I hope it is a bit more stable) for testing. I do my Nandroid backup via my recovery and the problem, he built me a backup for 2 GB!

I tried the procedure several times and it is always the same. I installed many applications but it does not affect the size of my backup. Note that I used the exact same version of TWRP for my old backup (There are several weeks) and everything worked well after restoring. With 1870 MB (Rounded to 2 GB), I don't know if my recovery has stored my Data partition because it is 131.51 MB and that of my System partition: 1.69 GB. Normally, the Data that occupies more space and it's funny asking me 5569 MB of free space when I 5950 MB of free space, then a Nandroid backup 2GB created. Furthermore, I have not enabled "Enable compression" and if I had activated it would have given me about 1370 MB.

Is it really a bug or is it normal that it do this? Anyway, I've never had a problem with this recovery but after research, I am the only one to notice this problem.

Welcome. Sorry for bad English. I have the following problem: I installed android 4.4, as we know without gapps. everything stable so I wanted to install gapps. Root, TWRP, all without problems. the problem began when installing gapps. information about system memory (not enough memory on system partition). I tried all versions gapps (full, mini, micro). all don't work. I have a few mods to install so I need to increase the size of the system partition. I found some information how to do it on other phones , but not for our P6. I hope for your unfailing help!

i used a 16GB ext. [14.87gb] my phone rooted.
and i've followed all of the tutorial there. but why after swapping the result was had a same size between int and ext? i mean int about 4gb and ext about 3 - - GB ,

i've checked on Aparted apps but it have been partitioned 4gb ext and the rest is for int

is that a problem or it was a normal? maybe it's not 4gb but it just displayed 4gb but i cant store apps more than that size, or what?

maybe a help from the core master will clearing my curiousity and might end my journey of tinkering my device :fingers-crossed:

Play store movie size vs Nexus 7 topic

I've just noticed an odd thing...I downloaded a movie from the play store on my Nexus 5 and it's 3.0GB (HD). The same movie, downloaded on to a Nexus 7, also as HD, is only 1.7G. What's the difference?

Granted they are the same resolution screens (right?), but if anything you'd think the larger device would have had the bigger file.

V500 CM11 ROM Display Size topic

Hi All

I am new here, recently rooted and installed the CM11 ROM

So far so good. Just wondering however.

The Icons and overall feel of the OS seems very large to me, and in some icons even pixalated (Instagram app)

Is this normal?

Also when I rotate the tab into landscape the text from the apps are cut off, its like it doesnt fit onto the page.

Do i need to install a launcher such as Apex?or GPE?

Is there any way to get full functions with stock camera? I mean the 10 MP. Just like eclipse rom. Installing the stock apk i can use 5MP maximum.

[Q] Wrong data partition size topic

Hey guys!

I'm coming to you at the end of a loooong way after trying to upgrade to KitKat.

I started the upgrade to 4.4, on the go, and quite confident. What a mistake ...
The upgrade failed, and my device got bricked. Fortunately, I had the recovery partition. Unfortunately, I destroyed the recovery partition by mistake...
I finally succeed to fix the things, but I have no idea how exactly I did it (I just tried the things as they were coming, messing around with partitions and switching from tutorial to tutorial),
Anyway, I made it.

This was 2 months ago ... then time passed, and today I got a message "no space left on device". Hm, weird. I check and oh damn, my SD card only had 5GB on it ...!!

It looks like I've loaded the *GB version partition scheme at some point ... or just wrongly formatted the partitions ... or I don't know.
I've tried to check using fdisk, but it doesn't help me much.

I also tried some tools like "Partition table" but I still can't find the missing 10GB. it seems like they're just unpartitioned, but not even recognised as it ...

Did anyone ever had this issue? Any process to fix it? Or at least any way to rollback to the original partition scheme.

When you select gallery and choose a photo what size (landscape) is the photo on the Note 10 tablet screen? I have a galaxy note 8.0 and the photo size on the display is 4x6 horizontally (landscape), I used a ruler to measure. I would like to know how much larger the photo would be on the Note 10 (2014). No stores near me carry it in stock for me to measure.

Also the Note 8.0 measures 8 inches horizontally. Would the Note 10.1 be 10 inches horizontally? Please measure.

Is it just me or is there no setting to change the pixels on the stock camera app for Moto X? I hate the fact that each picture I take eatsup a little over 3MB.

Hi all, could you please tell me the /data partition size on Samsung Galaxy Note 3? You can check it just in rooted devices. You can do it, for example, executing "df -ha" in a terminal emulator.

[Q] Size of ROM & gapps for flashing topic

Until yesterday, I used to build the Beanstalk ROM for the i9100 every 2-3 days, and successfully flash it with pa_gapps_minimal.
Starting yesterday, the size of the ROM zip file grew a little, from ~192MB to ~193MB, and now after flashing the ROM, I cannot flash the gapps. Together, when unzipped, the ROM and gapps take 528MB. Can it be that I reached a size limit for flashing?
